Our client, WireCo WorldGroup, is a global manufacturer and world leader in engineering and distribution of high carbon wire, wire rope, synthetic rope, wire rope assemblies, and electromechanical cable (EM). They are now the largest producer of wire rope and EM cable in the world and offer the broadest product line available on the market today. Due to an internal promotion, WireCo’s NEWLY acquired Phillystran division based in Montgomeryville, PA has an immediate opening for a dynamic new Sales & Marketing Manager for the 30 employee, $15 Million operation. Basic Duties: The Sales & Marketing Manager has complete responsibility for managing the strategic sales and marketing direction for our client’s global synthetic rope business. This person leads, plans, directs, and coordinates the division’s sales and marketing efforts and insures corporate objectives are met. These goals will be achieved through developing and initiating successful business development and marketing initiatives that increase profit and retain loyal customers.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
Provides leadership and coaching to sales staff and distributors.
Analyze, plan and implement the annual sales and marketing objectives for the division to include a sales forecast.
Effectively communicates sales and marketing objectives, policies, plans and programs to subordinates and links those initiatives to desired outcomes and improved business results.
Assigns accounts to appropriate sales staff.
Evaluates potential customers, makes recommendations for new distributors and fulfillment centers for geographic market-share objectives.
Travels globally to provide sales and technical support to customers and distributors as needed.
Assists in the development of sales tools and literature and works with staff to plan and execute the tradeshow, seminars and advertising strategy.
Identifies, develops and coordinates new product introductions to appropriate sales channels.
Identifies strengths and weaknesses within the sales and marketing organization and develops improvement plans on regular intervals.
Provides training or coordinates the training efforts on new and existing products for staff and distributors as needed.
Monitors and reports actual sales against plan, providing supporting documentation and analysis for deviations.
Directs sales staff to complete effective pre-call planning and post call reporting.
The successful candidate must possess a well rounded background in sales and marketing management. High tenacity fiber/ fiber rope industry knowledge will be essential for the successful candidate. A degree in business or equivalent is required along with a minimum of 5 – 7 years of successful sales and marketing management experience. The ideal candidate will be high energy, positive, have a sense of urgency, good reasoning skills, excels under pressure, manageable, multi-tasker, continuous improvement minded, assertive, decisive with excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for a leader who can provide effective sales and business development expertise to build the Phillystran business. Compensation will include base salary plus bonus and will be in relation to the experience level of the successful candidate.
